On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are delighted to invite you to the 9th International Symposium on Special Topics in Chemical Propulsion (9-ISICP), which will be held at the Loews Hôtel Le Concorde, in downtown Québec City, Canada, 9 -13 July 2012.

Scientists, researchers and engineers from all over the world, interested in the synthesis, ignition, combustion and detonation of energetic materials with applications for propulsion, demolition, and power generation are invited to participate in this international event. The 9-ISICP will include several invited plenary talks and both oral and poster presentations, covering 18 technical areas.

 

Québec City is an ideal venue for such a gathering, a cultured centre of learning and commerce that excels at welcoming tourists. Known as the Cradle of French Civilization in the Americas, Québec City is steeped in history. Visitors are fascinated by its fortifications, the cannons arrayed along its ramparts, the architectural treasures within its walls, and the special care with which the past has been preserved. You will also appreciate knowing that Québec is a very safe, hospitable city with many restaurants and attractions easily accessible on foot from the conference site.
